Summary
Dynamic simulations combined with a sensitivity analysis assess how construction choices affect the thermal performance of solar chimneys used for building ventilation. The parameters examined include wall thickness and thermal resistance, absorptivity of the inner surfaces, the chimney's thermal mass and glazing type, and the work gives guidance on sizing each one for best performance.
