Summary
Small pilot solar chimney evaporating seawater under its collector to yield several products, studied through temperature and humidity measurements and a thermal network model. The air reaches the chimney almost saturated. Radiation from the collector to the sky is the largest loss, about 29% of incoming solar energy, while evaporation takes about 24%. Lower collector emissivity and better heat conduction to the evaporation area are recommended.
