Summary
Researchers at Ouargla University in southern Algeria built a small solar chimney prototype, a 6 m stack fed by a plastic-covered collector, and logged how air speed and temperature changed with the weather. The strongest performance came at midday in mid-August 2016, when air leaving the collector reached about 63 °C and flowed up the chimney at roughly 3 m/s.
