Experimental solar chimney with a 5 m collector and 3 m tower, used to track air temperature from collector inlet to chimney outlet over the day and to compare a polythene collector cover with glass. The polythene cover gave temperature gains close to those obtained with glass, for an average efficiency of roughly 9%.
