Summary
Laboratory-scale solar chimney rig in which lamps, heaters and sometimes solar-heated water stand in for sunshine, warming the ground and air beneath a nylon cover so that air rises through the chimney and drives a small turbine. Cooling the chimney top widens the temperature difference, letting the airflow speed be adjusted; only preliminary results are reported.
