Summary
A small solar chimney test rig combined with seawater desalination was run under real weather to see whether it could deliver both electricity and fresh water. Most distilled water was collected when there was no sunlight, and the least under strong radiation. Air heating happened mainly within the first third of the collector radius, and the combined setup used solar energy noticeably better than a chimney producing power alone.
