Summary
Two-dimensional steady laminar CFD simulations in ANSYS CFX assess whether a solar chimney attached to a cabin could ventilate Malaysian hospitals under tropical conditions, using irradiance and outdoor temperatures at four times of day. Air changes per hour peak at 2 pm, when solar radiation is strongest, and are lowest at 8 am; experimental work is under way.
