Summary
CFD simulations in ANSYS Fluent compare five configurations of a south-facing solar chimney attached to a two-storey test building in Al-Kut, Iraq, under summer conditions, varying chimney length and the position of the inlet openings. The long vertical chimney gave the strongest natural ventilation, though indoor temperatures rose noticeably.
