Summary
Models a Manzanares-scale solar chimney adapted for desalination, in which seawater droplets sprayed at the tower base take the place of the turbine, using a three-dimensional simulation of airflow, heat exchange, cooling and condensation inside the chimney. Evaporating spray raises humidity and markedly lowers the height at which condensation begins; more spray yields more freshwater, while moister air has a stronger effect on the local microclimate.
