Summary
A two-storey office building in a hot, arid climate is cooled and ventilated by a rooftop solar chimney paired with a north-facade windcatcher and water spraying, tested on a scaled-down physical model alongside CFD simulations. Without any wind, the arrangement keeps both floors comfortable at peak hours, cooling indoor air by about 5 °C and saving roughly 75% of summer cooling energy.
