Summary

CFD simulations of a vertical solar chimney for building ventilation examine how narrowing the outlet, as weatherproofing elements may require, interacts with channel height and gap width. A smaller outlet markedly cuts the induced airflow while raising the air temperature gain, so the preferred geometry depends on whether ventilation or heating is the priority.
