A Performance Analysis of Solar Chimney Passive Ventilation System in the Unt Zero Energy Lab Suraj Talele Assesses how well a solar chimney ventilates the UNT Zero Energy Lab, using a 3-D laminar ANSYS FLUENT model with the Boussinesq approximation, checked against velocity and temperature sensors placed where air enters and leaves the chimney. The model gives a peak exhaust flow near 0.12 m3/s, which would cut cooling load by about 9.3 kWh and also reduce fan power.

Summary
Assesses how well a solar chimney ventilates the UNT Zero Energy Lab, using a 3-D laminar ANSYS FLUENT model with the Boussinesq approximation, checked against velocity and temperature sensors placed where air enters and leaves the chimney. The model gives a peak exhaust flow near 0.12 m³/s, which would cut cooling load by about 9.3 kWh and also reduce fan power.
