Summary
A modified solar chimney power plant adds passive cooling at the chimney outlet and passive heating at its base to emulate a taller structure, and is assessed numerically across a range of heights. The combined heating and cooling boosts updraft speed noticeably, so a 300 m chimney behaves like a conventional 500 m one, roughly doubling the expected electrical output.
