Summary

Assesses whether a small solar chimney power plant could supply electricity to rural villages in developing countries, using calculations of its output. Useful power appears only above a threshold temperature ratio of about 2.9, and a minimal practical plant with a 150 m chimney could serve roughly fifty households.
