Summary
A transient heat-transfer and flow model of a solar chimney coupled with seawater desalination, run without a turbine load, is used to examine how collector size and inlet height shape performance. A wider collector strengthens draft, airflow speed and heating while leaving water temperature and freshwater output almost unchanged; a taller inlet weakens draft and cools both seawater and glass cover, with diminishing effect.
