Summary

Scale-model tests of a solar chimney with three concrete walls and one glazed wall, varying chimney height (60–120 cm) and outer-wall insulation. The tallest chimney gave the best airflow; with it, thicker insulation produced the largest bottom-to-top temperature difference yet a lower ventilation rate than thin insulation, and wind speed and direction also influenced performance.
