Summary
Numerical simulations in ANSYS Fluent and experiments under Iraqi climate conditions were used to compare flat, triangular V-grooved and trapezoidal corrugated absorbers in a vertical solar chimney ventilating a small test room, varying gap width and tilt. A V-grooved plate with a 0.2 m gap at 10° tilt gave the best air change rate, about 10% above the flat plate.
