Summary
CFD simulations, validated against data from the Spanish prototype, assess a solar chimney coupled with photovoltaic panels under Algerian climatic conditions. With suitable panel placement and width, heat released by the panels raised turbine power by about 9%. The airflow also cooled the cells by roughly 6 °C, improving PV efficiency. High-irradiance southern regions such as Adrar gave the highest monthly output.
