Summary

A prototype solar chimney was built and monitored to test whether it could work as a dryer for agricultural produce, tracking airflow speed, temperature and humidity against incoming sunlight. Over the year it heated air by about 13 °C above ambient and moved roughly 1.4 kg/s, enough to dry around 440 kg of food, confirming the concept is technically viable.
