Summary

Examines a hybrid design in which waste exhaust from a gas turbine is fed into a solar chimney's collector, either at its entrance or halfway along, to offset the low ambient air temperature that limits performance. CFD runs in Fluent indicate much higher air speed and temperature near the chimney base, raising output roughly tenfold (50 to 500 kW) and cutting specific energy costs.
