Abstract

Solar ventilation through a solar chimney involves using the sun's energy to create a natural convection current that vents hot and stale air out of a building or space. It is an affordable and energy-efficient method of raising indoor air quality while lowering the need for conventional HVAC systems. An outlet at the top of the chimney, a vertical hollow tower or duct, and a solar collector or absorber are the usual components of a solar ventilation. The experimental findings show that the energy consumption in buildings may be reduced up to 15-20 % by this passive ventilation system utilization.
