Summary

A hybrid plant pairs a solar chimney with a cooling tower, sharing the chimney and a bi-directional turbine so the solar side runs by day and the tower by night, producing both electricity and desalinated seawater. Simulated with a year of weather data for Aqaba, Jordan, it delivers about 50% more electricity and 1.5 times the water output of a conventional solar chimney.
