Summary
Fluent CFD simulations of a solar chimney serving a building examine how chimney height, air gap width and brick wall thickness affect natural ventilation. Doubling the height from 1.5 to 3 m roughly doubles the airflow, while gap width matters far less; the chimney works across seasons, and transient runs show a 0.3 m brick wall keeps it ventilating through the night.
