Summary
Models the collector, chimney and turbine of a solar chimney power plant as three coupled regions to simulate heat transfer and airflow. Applied to the Spanish prototype with a three-blade turbine, the simulation gives a peak output just above 50 kW and shows how rotor speed affects outlet conditions; a MW-scale design with a five-blade turbine reaches about 10 MW at 50% turbine efficiency.
