Summary
Numerical simulations of a hybrid cooling tower–solar chimney, modelled in three dimensions together with its surroundings, assess how crosswind and ambient pressure affect it. Self-generated power falls as wind speed rises, reaching a minimum at 8 m/s, while heat dissipation changes trend at 4 m/s. A circular barrier placed ahead of the collector inlet slightly increases power but hardly improves heat rejection.
