Summary

Constructal Design is applied with axisymmetric RANS simulations (finite volume, k–ε turbulence) to find solar chimney power plant geometries that maximise available power under several imposed ground temperatures. Collector and chimney proportions both strongly affect output and must be optimised together, while ground temperature markedly changes both the power and how geometry influences it.
