Summary

A 3D CFD model in ANSYS Fluent is used to study a wind-supercharged solar chimney power plant that also desalinates seawater and recovers flue-gas waste heat, varying turbine speed, nozzle length, outlet radius and mixing-section length. The hot gas jet draws in the surrounding air, and the best configuration delivers about 378 kW of power and roughly 20 t/h of fresh water.
