Sagredo, Eduardo D., and Jimmie Sprakker. "MICRO SOLAR CHIMNEY USING CONCENTRIC VACUUM TUBES." 2005.

Summary

Design and construction of a small solar chimney power generator at the Ozama Engineering Campus, pairing a 2.2 m² evacuated concentric-tube collector with a 60 m chimney that drives an axial air turbine and generator. The turbine also runs a compressor that forces air through the collector to avoid stagnation; thermodynamic theory, efficiency optimization, mechanical design, controls and software are covered.
