Summary
Scaled-down three-storey building models were tested to assess solar chimneys on south walls of multi-storey buildings, comparing a shared tall chimney with one outlet at the top against separate per-floor chimneys. Rooms stayed up to 5 °C cooler than in an unventilated reference, the shared chimney performed best, and an electrical-analogy thermal model matched the measurements reasonably well.
