Summary

Measurements and simulations of a solar chimney serving a classroom in a zero-energy building in Singapore, examining how outdoor wind speed and indoor heat gains affect airflow and temperature. Winds above about 2 m/s boost duct airflow, but their effect fades under strong sunshine; with intense sun and weak wind, cross ventilation outperforms the chimney, while internal heat load has little influence.
