Summary
Numerical finite-volume simulations in generalized coordinates examine how component shapes, especially the collector–tower junction and a conical tower, affect airflow in solar chimneys. Some geometries create dissipative flow disturbances that reshaping removes; a diverging tower raises mass flow up to a limiting angle, while a converging one lowers mass flow but accelerates exit velocity.
