Summary
A small, low-power solar chimney with adjustable dimensions was built to check whether performance models derived for large plants remain valid at reduced scale. Tower height was varied as the main parameter, along with tower diameter and the height and tilt of the collector. Scaling down made output more sensitive to these secondary dimensions, and optimisation of all parameters was demonstrated from the measurements.
