Summary
Instantaneous temperature measurements in the natural convection boundary layer of a dual-cavity solar chimney show that mean profiles give no clear scaling length, while a length based on the peak of temperature fluctuations collapses profiles only near the heated wall. The authors call for tests at much higher Rayleigh numbers to identify separate inner- and outer-region scales.
