Summary
A small test room built in Psachna, Greece, was fitted with wall solar chimneys on every side and orientation to gather the first lab-scale data on this design for heating and cooling buildings. A model that treats the chimney as natural convection between two vertical parallel plates reproduced the measured airflow and temperature fields inside the channel with good accuracy.
