Summary

EnergyPlus simulations of a ventilation solar chimney in Yazd, Iran, examine how climate and design components affect exhaust airflow. Output rises with solar radiation and air temperature and falls with humidity. On the hottest day, doubling chimney height boosts airflow by about 56% and insulation adds 21%, while glazing and thermal mass type matter little and a narrower channel helps.
