Summary

Uses CFD simulations based on the Manzanares prototype to examine how tilting both the collector roof and the ground absorber, rather than the roof alone, affects solar chimney power plant performance. Of the angles tested, 15° works best: air heats evenly, kinetic energy losses drop and the buoyant flow strengthens, giving air speeds above 18 m/s versus 15 m/s for the reference design.
