Summary
Electrohydrodynamic enhancement of natural convection in inclined solar chimneys, examined across a range of Rayleigh numbers, applied voltages, tilt angles and aspect ratios. The gains are strongest at low Rayleigh numbers, and both airflow and heat transfer peak at a 60° tilt. Flow-rate improvement is linked to electrode count, which is also related to the chimney aspect ratio to balance efficiency against cost.
