Summary

Assesses how a newer convective heat transfer correlation, a refined turbine inlet loss coefficient, higher-quality collector glass and different ground types affect the output of a large solar chimney power plant. The new correlation lowers predicted power substantially, the refined loss coefficient barely matters, better glass raises output, limestone and sandstone behave much like granite, and the optimal collector height shifts from earlier estimates.
