Summary

Constructal theory is used to shape a solar chimney power plant for the most power per unit of land, giving the best height-to-radius ratio, mass flow and output for a fixed area and volume. Power per land area grows with the plant's size. Losses at the collector inlet and transition are negligible, and collector friction can be ignored when the flow svelteness exceeds about 6.
