Summary

Three-dimensional CFD simulations of a Manzanares-type solar chimney power plant examine how the height of the collector inlet, varied between 0.75 and 2 m, affects airflow and electricity generation. Lowering the inlet raises peak air speed, turbine pressure drop and power, though mass flow falls; the 0.75 m case delivers roughly 32% more power than the original design.
