Summary

Proposes a solar chimney plant for mountainous terrain in which the vertical tower is replaced by an inclined duct running up a steep mountain slope. A three-dimensional turbulent flow and heat transfer model is applied to a case with a 45° slope, indicating the layout is feasible and has several benefits compared with a conventional upright chimney.
