Summary

Experiments compare a solar chimney with and without phase change material under three charging modes that differ in whether heated air is sent to the room. Adding PCM lowers airflow while it charges but raises it during discharge; in the open mode where the PCM charges fully, melting takes almost 11 h, about 57% longer than in the closed mode.
