Summary
A transient one-dimensional model of natural ventilation in a solar chimney, including heat resistance of the glazing and absorber wall and hour-by-hour solar input over a day, solved with a Crank–Nicolson scheme. Airflow grows with sunshine, yet the heat stored in the absorber wall shifts the peak flow rate to around 2 pm.
