Summary

Using CFD, the authors model a building that pairs a solar chimney with a water-filled wall, varying the glazing, the cavity depth and the volume of water. The arrangement keeps air moving through the day and night at roughly 4 room air changes hourly, and enlarging the cavity to 0.2 m boosts flow by about 14%, while going wider adds little.
