Summary
A double-layered solar chimney built into the walls and roof of a bioclimatic house is designed and evaluated for Thailand's housing market. Compared with a conventional energy-saving building envelope, it lowers the average indoor temperature by roughly 1–2 °C all year round. It also drives natural ventilation and heat removal, and its simple construction can help cut household energy use.
