Summary
Simulation data from a CFD model covering many configurations are curve-fitted into a general dimensionless expression for solar chimney airflow. Inputs are chimney height relative to depth, absorber-wall and outdoor temperatures scaled by indoor temperature, and tilt angle, spanning slopes from 30° up to vertical Trombe-wall-like designs, so the performance of diverse chimneys can be estimated.
