Summary

A transient model of a solar chimney, treating the absorber plate, glazing and air channel with an implicit time-stepping scheme solved by Newton–Raphson over a full day under clear-sky irradiance. A heavier absorber keeps air moving through the night and early morning after sunset and smooths fluctuations in flow rate. Without storage, predictions agree with earlier published results.
