Summary
Investigates solar chimneys as a stack-driven natural ventilation strategy for Malaysian terraced houses, where standard designs give low indoor airflow and poor thermal comfort. Physical models were combined with FloVent CFD simulations checked against on-site measurements. The final prototype raised indoor air speed to about 0.8 m/s and kept air moving even without outdoor wind.
