Summary

ANSYS Fluent simulations of a solar chimney plant, run with RNG k-ε compared against SST k-ω, explore how tower height and radius and the elevation of the collector roof affect flow speed, temperature and pressure. Doubling the tower from 100 to 200 m raises exit speed by about a third while cooling the exhaust; a wider tower slows the flow, and RNG responds more sensitively than SST.
