Summary
DesignBuilder CFD simulations of a repeated 4 m × 8 m room in a three-storey five-star hotel prototype in Aswan, fitted with a vertical solar chimney beside an open terrace, test how the share of glazing on the chimney affects indoor conditions. Greater glazing raised indoor air speed and cut the age of air, improving ventilation, but also pushed operative temperatures up.
